Interior Arrangement and Enhancement
Problem
Poor furniture arrangement gives this room a congested feeling. |
Solution
Non-essential items were edited from the room. Window treatments
were added to create a backdrop for the furnishings.
Furniture placement and lighting were distributed around
the room to create balance. |

 |
Transitional
Problem
Insufficient lighting, poor placement of the informal dining area,
and no window treatments leave this room lacking warmth and harmony. |
Solution
The addition of window treatments, now frame the French doors and
brings a contrast to the background. The table and chairs were repositioned
so as not to obstruct the view of the French doors. A pair of lamps
provides much needed lighting in the room. |

Ethnic/ Global Influenced
Problem
The large armoire appears too bulky for the space. The lack of window
treatments gives this room an unfinished look.
|
Solution
The armoire was replaced with a tall plant, bringing life to the room.
Window treatments frame the wood blinds to soften the hard edges.
A console and two buffet lamps were brought in to anchor the window
and provide an additional serving surface. Two pieces of artwork were
added to fill the large expanse of the wall. |

Hospitality/Commercial
Problem
This hospitality suite lacked interest and was poorly designed to
serve a variety of simultaneous activities. |
Solution
Relocating artwork and repositioning the sectional sofa and dining
table opened up the possibility for additional functions. A
small entry table was repurposed to now serve as a writing desk.
The entire room was transformed and now is worthy of a 4 star rating.

Real Estate Enhancement
Before Staging
The home owner had little to no accessories, lighting was poor,
colors were outdated and the room was underutilized. |
Staged to Sell
The mauve carpeting was replaced, accessories, plants, lighting and
patio furniture were brought in. The addition of a round dining
table and chairs were placed in the room to show the multi-functionality
of this room and to de-emphasize the lack of a formal dining room.
Patio becomes inviting as the view is now showcased. |
